Day 2: Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

They turned this book into a movie with Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley, and Andrew Garfield. I read the book first, then watched the movie, but I have to say, the novel solidly outdoes the film in presenting Ishiguro’s enormous questions and the underlying themes dread and nostalgia that permeate the novel. It is a somber book about life and mortality and love. Get this book and read it. Now.
